Why Poor Oral Health Can Leave You Feeling ExhaustedCan bad teeth make you sick and tired? More and more exploration is now emerging on how poor dental health is precisely associated with various illnesses, including chronic fatigue. When you study about it, your mouth is like a window into your body, and a healthy mouth is an initial defense for your overall health.

By retaining a good oral hygiene regimen of daily brushing, flossing, and rinsing, you are able to keep the germs in your mouth at bay. But without this dental routine, the parasites can run unrestrained through your body.

Poor Oral Health Effect on the Body

People with gum disease are approximately twice as likely to suffer from coronary artery disease compared to those don't have periodontitis. Researchers aren't precisely sure of why this might be, but one theory is that harmful bacteria from your mouth enters your bloodstream and attaches to fatty plaques in your heart's blood vessels, leading to inflammation and upping your risk of clots that can trigger heart attacks. When these harmful plaques form in your vessels, your heart must work harder to pump blood, tiring you.

Poor Oral Cares Effect on Diabetics and Your Heart

Studies are proving that people with diabetes are inclined to have gum disease when compared to those without diabetes. While this could be because diabetics are more susceptible to infections, there's also been research that shows gum disease could make it harder to control your blood sugar, and that treating it helps improve diabetes symptoms.

These reasons are still not fully understood, it's clear that gum disease and heart disease often go hand in hand. Up to 91% of patients with heart disease have gum disease, compared to 66% of people with no heart disease. Most doctors even assume that gum disease has a direct cause in how it raises the risk of heart disease as well.

While the exact events and correlations between oral issues and the rest of the body are still being researched. It's apparent that poor oral care results in portions of energy in the body fighting other issues because you to feel fatigued and out of strength.
